This was so strange and fractured and uncomfortable I'm not really sure what to think except that you sold this idea so well. This is such a dark period of the show, somewhere I haven't really had the courage to go yet, and I'm so impressed by the way you navigate the miserable flood of emotions that they both have to face, and resolve it only with dissatisfaction and emptiness. The ambiguous, confusing nature of everything is so right, how Felix can't stop his associations with Gaius. And I just love your take on Gaius and Felix's sexual relationship on New Caprica, for me those moments really made the piece, as Felix's misery back on Galactica is so clearly rooted in something that happened on that planet.
I have a soft spot for fiction with wildly unusual and unlikely pairings having resonance, and I think this one really sold me. That in a way they have so much in common during this period, so many of the same emotions playing out in the same way, even if they came from such different places.
